Eastgate Shopping Center in Inverness was buzzing with activity as young people joined in the final session of its summer kids’ club.
The chance to design and decorate a bumblebee house was seized by dozens of enthusiastic attendees who were able to take home their finished item.
The center, which offers a free weekly program every Wednesday, was able to offer nine 20-minute social distance workshops.
Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Kirstin Gault said: “Delighted with their work, 44 kids have brought their craft home and are now welcoming all the lovely bees to their backyard.”
The goal of this year’s summer activities is to be more environmentally friendly.
Activities included a spooky themed trail and a plant pot decorating workshop.
Participants in the July 21 session are invited to collect a woodland-themed trail sheet, while other upcoming sessions include making a DIY magnifying glass and plant markers.
The club takes place between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Trails are offered on a first come, first served basis, with advance tickets available for workshops.
Tickets will be available up to 24 hours before the start of each workshop.
Workshop visits are welcome if the session is not at its maximum capacity.
A total of six children and 12 adults (no more than two adults per family group) can attend each workshop session.
