
Growing Highland businesses could get up to £ 40,000 in support to help them take them to the next level.
Part of the Highland Council’s Economic Recovery Program, the Support Program aims to help existing businesses grow faster, while boosting the Highland economy through profitability and employment.
The Council’s Business Gateway service will be the first point of contact to request funding. The economic stimulus for growth program will consist of personalized support and specialized advisory services; workshops and grants and loans, including funding for new employees.
Economy and Infrastructure Committee Chair Cllr Trish Robertson said: “The launch of the Highland Council Support Program will enable businesses to raise funds and step up their growth plans, bringing added value to their business.
“The Council is leading the way in revitalizing the economy of the Highlands. We want the Highlands region to be a place where businesses will thrive and we want to support them in their activities’
“Our Business Gateway Highland service, in conjunction with the Council’s Loan Company – Highland Opportunity Investments Ltd., will be available to assist businesses wishing to apply for financing.
“I encourage any growing or planning business to diversify with plans for expansion to initially make contact with Business Gateway Highland as the first point of contact and make the most of the advisory and financial support available. “
