Hearts had a brilliant season and secured European football until Christmas.
Robbie Neilson’s men have a Europa League play-off on their agenda for later this summer.
But even if they fail, they will go straight to the Europa Conference League group stage.
And so the Jambos will be determined to maximize their pre-season preparations as they consider a run in Europe and again aim for at least a third place in the league.
This means Hearts players who have been lucky enough to go on holiday since the end of last season will need to be fresh and ready to go on day one.
While those on international duty will hardly have time to rest before getting back into the rhythm of things.
soccer scotland has all the information you need about Tynecastle club projects.
Where are the Hearts going for the pre-season?
The Jambos have yet to officially announce their plans, but are expected to travel to the Marbella region of Spain for a week-long training camp at the end of this month.
It remains to be seen if they will play any friendlies during their stay in southern Spain.
Hearts are also said to be trying to arrange friendlies in England in early July, but these have yet to be confirmed.
What friendlies have Hearts scheduled?
Following their return from Spain, the Jambos have announced that they will face East Fife on Tuesday July 5.
The friendly game will serve as a double testimonial for Kevin Smith, with a 7 p.m. kick-off in pencil.
All other pre-season friendlies for the first team have yet to be confirmed.
Which Hearts players are on international duty?
Craig Gordon is currently on an international trip with Scotland but his World Cup hopes were dashed by the national team’s 3-1 loss to Ukraine.
However, he and the team will now aim to bounce back in the upcoming Nations League games against Armenia, Ireland and Armenia again.
Nathaniel Atkinson is in Australia’s squad for their World Cup qualifier showdown with the United Arab Emirates and was an unused substitute in their friendly win over Jordan.
When does the Premiership cinch season start?
Hearts will find out their schedule for the season when the SPFL matches are released on Friday, June 17 at 9 a.m.
What we do know is that the Scottish Premiership campaign kicks off on the weekend of July 30/31.
