A SPECIALIZED regional company that has helped hundreds if not thousands of people with reduced mobility across the Highlands celebrates its 20th anniversary this week.

And to mark the occasion, City Mobility delivered a man from Inverness his new scooter and a basket of chocolates to thank him for being their most loyal customer.

Brian Kane has rented a scooter through the program since 2010.

City Mobility is the only company north of the central belt that, in addition to private sales and servicing, works in partnership with national charity Motability to provide electric wheelchairs and scooters to those in need .

He does this work through the National Charity Hire Scheme, covering from Aberdeen to the Western Isles and from Shetland to Fort William.

Mr Kane said: “The program is fantastic.

“I just pay a fixed weekly amount and don’t have any other bills to pay because everything is included.”

Carol Elliot, Managing Director of City Mobility, said: “Brian was due to receive his fifth new scooter as we celebrate our 20th anniversary as a company, so we wanted to give him something special to mark the occasion.”

Information about the program can be found here for those wishing to learn more.
